Welcome to Northern Ireland Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website carhireni.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services

1. Tenancy Agreement (Northern Ireland)

Vehicle hires are governed by a Rental Agreement supplied with your booking confirmation or at vehicle collection. That document sets out the terms, conditions, insurance cover, charges, and your responsibilities for the specific hire. If any conflict arises between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will take precedence for hires in Northern Ireland.

2. Eligibility Requirements — Northern Ireland

To rent a vehicle from us in Northern Ireland, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old (specific vehicle categories may require a higher minimum age, and additional charges may apply for drivers under 25). Hold a valid full driving licence issued in Northern Ireland or another accepted jurisdiction, appropriate to the vehicle category, and held for the minimum period stated in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid photographic identification and proof of address or other documentation required for verification at collection.

3. Reservation and Payment

  • Bookings can be made via our website, by phone, or in person at our Belfast location. A booking deposit may be required to confirm your reservation. Full payment and a security deposit are typically due when the vehicle is collected. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.

4. Vehicle Collection and Return for Northern Ireland

  • Inspect the vehicle thoroughly at collection and report any existing damage immediately to the Northern Ireland branch. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by you and a representative. Return the vehicle in the same condition as collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be assessed and charged in accordance with applicable Northern Ireland rates.

5. Insurance and Liability (Northern Ireland)

  • Basic third-party insurance is included with all rentals in Northern Ireland. Full coverage details and any excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be offered to lower your financial liability. Please review these options carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount specified in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Changes (Northern Ireland)

For Northern Ireland, cancellation and amendment policies vary by booking type and notice period. Please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for the specific terms that apply to your reservation. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur fees.

7. Prohibited Uses — Northern Ireland

You must not use the rented vehicle in Northern Ireland for:

  • Any use that is unlawful under Northern Ireland law. Racing, rallying, off-roading or other hazardous activities. Transporting hazardous or dangerous materials in breach of Northern Ireland regulations. Sub-letting to third parties or allowing unauthorised drivers. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Use for purposes for which the vehicle is not designed...

Breaching these restrictions may result in immediate rental termination and additional charges in Northern Ireland.

8. Limitation of Liability — Northern Ireland

To the maximum extent permitted by Northern Ireland law, Dartford Vehicle Hire Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the total amount you paid for the relevant services in the six months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Governing Law (Northern Ireland)

These Terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Northern Ireland courts.

10. NI Terms Update

We may modify these Terms at any time for users in Northern Ireland. Changes become effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services in Northern Ireland constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
